More to Life than Ever Before!

    Hello, friends and fellow winos!

If you're reading this it means you've stopped by our new and updated website and, as you can see, it's got a lot of cool and helpful new features, including this blog spot, where I can amaze, entertain and educate all of the people who are interested in what I have to say (which pretty much limits my readership to my mother and two of the six grandkids who can read.)

Anyway, in addition to the new website, we've also got some other fun new stuff you won't want to miss.

    Weekend Desserts

Starting this weekend we'll be featuring the wonderful desserts of Nicolette Petty. Those who attended our wine and desserts nights a few months ago raved about the wonderful desserts that Nicolette whipped up, so we decided to offer a dessert menu every Friday and Saturday night. Every weekend will include a “Chocolate Truffles Trio” that we’ll match up with wines on our “Group Therapy Taste Flight,” plus three to four other desserts, including tantalizing torts, scrumptious cheesecakes, torts, cakes, and more. Prices will range from $5 to $8 and we’ll have suggested wines you can match up with whatever you choose.

     Live Music

As if the Grape Life wasn’t already the Quad Cities’ best place to chill on a Saturday night… now we’re even cooler with live music every Saturday. We’ll kick off our live music from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, with the cool sounds of Tony Sconyers and Mark Spangler. Tony played at our anniversary event and everybody loved his smoky smooth covers of great pop and jazz standards and bringing him back seemed the perfect way to kick off our live music series.

On July 25 we’ll feature the outstanding musicianship of Andrew Landers who’s been called “a soulful and unpretentious storyteller” whose music ranges from acoustic folk simplicity to blues-rock intensity.

I'll be using this blog as a way to tell you about new wines we've got coming out, share wine news and trends, but I also hope you'll use it to share your thoughts on new wines that you've tried, comments about the Grape Life, wine trips you've made, etc.

    • Yum! Wine and dessert...and music...you guys just keep hitting the mark--to make us all happy! Way to go.

    • Dr. Jim and Nurse Nancy - It's true your therapy at the Grape Life has provided many of us "Quad Citians" the "attitudinal" treatment needed. Your devotion to health care in the Quad Cities is without question! The Wednesday massage and copa de vino is just what one needs to get...over the mid-week hump. The Saturday evening develish desserts matched with the smooth sounds of live music and the wonderfully flavorful wine...muwha! Tan Sabroso! But there is one thing us Mid-westerners desire......would it possible for you to arrange an assortment of Girl Scout cookies any time soon?
